One of the first needlepoint ballpens introduced by Pilot Corporations is the Pilot P 500, establishing a clear market leader's name in this category. This creation of Pilot has led a lot of beginners to find their way to a fascinated pen enthusiast, including myself. We always encourage beginners with the best like this one, to root them for the hobby. From it's precision to comfortable grip, the Pilot P-500 is the one for all your convenience, so let's dig into a detailed review!
Pilot P-500 has all the features of a pen to fall in love with. Its waterproof roller gel ink glides over the paper as smooth as butter over bread without any effort. This extra smooth writing gel ink pen has assisted me to write endlessly with no hand cramps at all. Even though it has gel ink which writes with three times more ink than a regular ballpen, it's drying time amazes me - wait for not more than 3 seconds for a smooth gel ink line! On top of that, the extra fine nib of 0.5mm (I find a lot of people disagreeing with 'extra fine' though) provides fine and vivid lines that end with a slight glossy extension which I find absolutely remarkable. People often contradict it from being extra fine because, of course there are finer nib sizes, but what they do not realise when objecting is that for a ballpoint pen 0.5 is indeed extra fine you get. Other finer nibs are available for Rollerball and fountain pens. In addition to that, this pen is available in a pack of 4 colors: Black, blue, red and green which leaves it suitable for office use as well as decorating the paper with colors.
Coming to its looks, the Pilot P-500 is designed with a stylish structure having a marble, two-toned granite barrel with a color combination that corresponds to the ink color. There is enough information on the cover of the pen, including the Pilot's logo and its name. The bottom is covered with translucent plastic which seals it. A ribbed grip maintains comfortable hold on the silky plastic, and also reduces maximum hand cramps. This gel ink rolling Ball Pen supplies total control and unique styling consisting of a stain. Pilot P-500 has a clip-cap mechanism: The cap is transparent with a firm metal clip that has a small ball with '0.5' imprinted on it (basically denoting its nib size); it is tight for a firm grip if slid into the pocket. Within the cap is a bit of some spongy part that keeps the nib dry. A complete convenience for anyone
For what purpose do you use it? Almost all! Documents? Sure it forms no bleeding. Notes? The variety of colors available make it suitable for beginners, especially teenagers for making colorful notes. Long lectures? Longer writing periods are now effortless with this smooth writing pen.
