Pilot G2 has been one of the most used pens in the pen world and has established a great impression as the king of office pens on its way. Its availability throughout every possible part of the world is responsible for the fame it has. One of its best known is the G2 07 nib which is a regularly used office tool.
The pack of Pilot G2 on my hand, consists of four refillable Pilot G2 07. Each one covered with a rubber grip which extends till the tip of the pen, ensuring a proper hold on the pen. The plasticy body gives a light weight, not as light as a Sharpie, however. But, unlike the Sharpie, Pilot G2 has a transparent middle body that reveals part of the ink in the cartridge which I personally like more. Below the middle body is the solid clip, holding the pen firmly and preventing it to roll off the desk. The solid clip is brittle so do not pull too hard on to it, or it snaps! The pen is designed with a click mechanism and a good satisfaction for the sound it makes: helps me concentrate better on the work in hand. The solid clip and rubber grip gives an idea of the ink color, not the most attractive look, but looks pretty classy to me.
For a 0.7mm pen it is narrow enough to fill in details, but you cannot expect it to be as thin as the Zebra Sarassa which uses a nib of 0.38mm. However, the matte texture of Pilot G2, once it dries off, is gorgeous: not so thin, not so thick. It is not the smoothest pen, but once you get the ink out, it glides effortlessly over the paper. Having a quick drying ink makes it smearproof, but there might be some occasional blobs which need to be handled with care. Apart from that, the pen will write out long essays without skipping and scratching. Another plus point for pilot G2 is, it goes well with almost all types of paper without bleeding out which is great for all kinds of purposes and saves a lot of time and money.
For a price of only BDT 85, Pilot G2 comes with a package of all the convenient features for the user. Having said all of the above, we all know why the king is called a king after all. Stands on top of all other pens in the recommendation list of every pen-o-holic. Available in BDpens.
